Jordan Brand Unveils Strada Skate Shoe

Jordan Brand has revealed the Jordan Strada, a new lifestyle skate shoe that reinterprets the Air Jordan 1. The first colorway, 'Baroque Brown/Rust Pink,' is scheduled for a Fall/Winter 2026 launch at a price of $130.

Named after the Italian word for 'street,' the Strada applies cues from Michael Jordan's first signature shoe to a chunky silhouette reminiscent of Y2K-era skate footwear. The design philosophy channels the aesthetic of brands like OSIRIS and DC that dominated the early 2000s.

Design and Inspiration

The Swoosh, toe box, and outsole all trace their roots to the Jordan 1 Low, but each component has been substantially reworked. The most significant changes are found underfoot, where Jordan Brand has introduced an entirely new sole unit. It features segmented AJ1-style traction and curved sidewalls that wrap around the midfoot.

A new curved quarter panel mirrors the shape of the midsole before connecting to the lower eyestay. The toe box is finished in hairy suede and is punctuated by a miniature Swoosh on the lateral forefoot. The quarter panel appears to use a ballistic-style mesh.

Lifestyle and Skate Crossover

The 'Strada' name suggests the model is intended primarily as a walking shoe. The pronounced midfoot curve could offer a rocker-like sensation for casual trips. Aesthetically, however, the shoe feels like a direct nod to the bulky skate shoes of two decades ago.

This approach follows a pattern seen in other recent Jordan Brand lifestyle models. The same design philosophy was evident on the Jordan Flight Court, another low-top model that drew inspiration from the Jordan 3, Jordan 4, and Jordan 5. The Strada follows last year's Jordan CMFT Era in revisiting classic Jordan designs through a new lens.

Release Details

The inaugural 'Baroque Brown/Rust Pink' colorway is the first to appear online. Official images show a mix of brown, sail, gum, medium brown, rust, and pink tones. The model is expected to hit the market in the coming season.
