Reebok Releases Taupe Classic Mule and Slide in Korea
Reebok has launched two laceless, suede versions of its Classic silhouette in Korea: the closed-toe Classic Mule and the strapped Classic Slide.

Reebok has reworked its Classic sneaker into two slip-on styles, the Classic Mule and Classic Slide, currently available in Korea. The new silhouettes, presented in a soft taupe suede, trade laces for easy wear and are priced at ₩99,000 KRW (approximately $70 USD).
The brand is softening its iconic franchise by stripping it down to comfort-first essentials. This move adapts a heritage sneaker line into the popular laceless, lifestyle format, aiming to reach an audience that prioritizes ease.
Two Takes on a Classic
The Classic Mule and Classic Slide represent the same design language pulled in opposite directions. The Classic Mule offers more coverage with a closed-toe construction, using layered suede panels and subtle Vector-inspired detailing on the sides. In contrast, the Classic Slide is a minimal design built for utility, featuring overlapping suede straps.
Both models forgo loud branding, keeping their treatment monochromatic. The Classic logos are discreetly placed on the footbeds rather than on the uppers. Cushioned footbeds are included, positioning the styles as all-day wear options rather than mere novelties.
Release and Availability
The shoes have already launched in Korea through Reebok Korea. Global release details, including a confirmed MSRP and date, are still to be announced. The following details are confirmed for the Korean market:
| Model | Colorway | SKU | Price (KRW) | Approx. USD | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reebok Classic Mule | Taupe | RESO6FS1UG2 | ₩99,000 | ~$70 | Available now (Korea) |

A Shift Toward Ease
This launch fits a broader industry trend where classic sneaker silhouettes are reshaped into slip-on formats. The report suggests these styles are a "low-risk way to keep the Classic in rotation year-round." By extending the iconic shape into slip-on territory, Reebok targets the modern market for neutral, easy-to-style footwear built entirely around convenience. The taupe colorway is central to this strategy, pushing the models firmly into a versatile, neutral lane.
For now, shoppers in the US and other global markets must wait for an official launch announcement from the brand.
